Growing up, birthday celebrations tended to be over the top...
Surrounded by lots of family, friends and great food. Of course we all know that the cake is the piece de resistance for most special occasions.
While I was always impressed and excited to eat the beautiful cake that was in front of me, I was inevitably disappointed each time I took a bite. The flavour just didn’t match up to the good looks.
I took a hard stand at the age of 13 and insisted that I was the only one that was going to make my birthday cakes and got pretty great at it. Then I started to make all the cakes for all the celebrations for our family , the good word spread & F*in Great Cakes was born.
It’s true – you CAN look great & taste great at the same time.
